What a friggin week...after years of wanting a TT (had my 2+2 for several years before finally finding a TTZ for a good price), she's gone. I was just getting her into some respectable condition when I received a call from London Bridge Auto in Virginia Beach that there had been a fire there. My Z was over there being looked at for a slight turbo boost leak, and had been there for about a week while I was working in San Francisco. Apparently the Ford Expedition parked inside the garage next to my Z decided to spontaneously combust and take down my Z, a Bentley, and several other cars along with it. As you can see from the pictures it effectively melted the back half of my car. Apparently, this is a big problem with the Expedition and several other Fords: In the news So if you have one, or know someone who drives one, you may want to look into this. Now I need to figure out what can be salvaged and how to get someone to pay for this mess. I just put in a new stereo, which now is a bit melty, but it does look like my fake leather parking brake bag survived! Ford strikes once again...Here's what she used to look like: In 1 piece... Now the ugly... Still looks red.. Uh Oh.. Screw you Ford!
